Valentine’s Week 2016: Strawberry Cranberry Smoothie

C – Love isn’t always sweet.

This smoothie is just that reminder. Especially on Valentine’s Day. Love is sweet, but know it has to be balanced with a bit of tart to keep it worth having. Love has it’s ups and downs. You just have to be patient and practical.

Don’t take the sweet moment for granted and don’t hate the tart ones.

Enjoy the sweet and know that the tart will pass. Be grateful to have them all.

I am not sure if any of that made any sense, but I feel that love is not perfect. So, to make the perfect smoothie, it shouldn’t be too sweet. If it’s too tart, it’s just wrong and should be thrown away.

Sweet strawberries and tart cranberries, along with a few other ingredients, make this smoothie amazing and perfect for a loved one to start their day.

Valentine’s Week 2016: Strawberry Cranberry Smoothie

Serves: 2 really large glasses
Ingredients
  • 12oz whole frozen strawberries
  • 1 banana
  • 8oz strawberry yogurt
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cranberry juice
  • 1¼ cups apple juice
  • a few dried cranberries for garnish
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients except dried cranberries in a blender and blend until completely incorporated.
  2. Place in serving glasses.
  3. Top off smoothies with a few dried cranberries.
  4. Serve.
  5. Enjoy!
